What people say about us

"This restaurant is located at the Gananoque Inn and Spa. The patio has a good view of the waterfront. The food is good and overall a pleasant place to have lunch or supper. It was very busy (poker run weekend) so it took a while for service. We weren’t in a hurry and we appreciated how hard the server staff were working to ensure everyone had a great experience. I’d recommend eating here."

"The food was good and we really enjoyed our view. They really have the best views. There was also live music which made our experience significantly better."

"Delicious food. Fresh and so tasty. Best meal I have had in awhile. Amazing service. Friendly ladies. Melissa and (Elly or Eileen) sorry not sure which. But both ladies were awesome! Added bonus amazing view!"

"We were looking for a patio experience on Sunday afternoon of the long weekend and Google suggested this restaurant nearby. Although the waitress was overwhelmed being the only person on staff in the entire restaurant she explained the situation to us clearly from the beginning. The food and drinks were delicious and the service friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and also suggest the management find more staff like the wonderful waitress who served us."

"Food and Service were amazing. Amanda the dining room manager was fabulous from the get go. The two handsome gentlemen that look like twins, and to all the other lovely staff we met.. keep up the good work :) The view was stunning, great wine selection, and the tar tar was to die for !! We are already planning our next trip back !!!! ✌🏼"

"Unfortunate experience. We were under a bit of time pressure as we were going to the theatre which we mention to the person who sat us. Had a wait for someone to take our orders. We ran out of time and ultimately got my wrap to go and ate it in the theatre parking lot. Food was just OK. Service was poor and kind of unpleasant. Perhaps it was foolish to go with a short time frame but as the closest place to the theatre this should not be something they could not handle. I have been to several restaurants since ontario opened back up and this experience was the only poor one so far."

"So Lovely! Beautiful outdoor patio overlooking picturesque view of St. Laurence. Careful attention to fresh ingredients, complementary flavours and contrasting textures. We chose all seafood dishes (pan fried scallops with mussels, the pan-fried walleye on a bed of Kale, and the tempura crab with manicotti pasta), all cooked to perfection (we find that many restaurants have difficulty in working with seafood). This restaurant was a true relief for your taste buds! My only suggestion would be to increase the portion size of the appetizer. We will most definitely be returning."

"July 2022: My experience was much better the second time around as we went to dinner earlier, seems the best time is around 6pm. The sun was still shining gloriously in the backdrop but we had a great table and got to admire the waterfront. I ordered the Grilled Salmon; it was near perfect. The only thing it lacked was a sauce (like a buttery sauce) to compliment it but that’s the only suggestion I have this time. Our server was Ashley and she did a stupendous job at making sure we had everything and balancing all the guests that arrived after us. Thank you!!

N.B. This section of the restaurant is closed on Mondays (the mostly patio part). They do have another half with a patio, but a larger inside.

Sept 2021: Certainly a lovely view but if you plan on dining a little later in the evening, bring a flashlight. Headed out about 8:15 on a Sunday, the sunset was slowly fading but you could still see the other diners out on the patio. By the time the meal came, we were eating in the dark! The restaurant only invested in a few white lights on the corner posts of the patio; if you weren’t sitting under one, you could not see your food! I literally had to take out my iPhone flashlight to see what I was eating! iPhone has been very generous with the amount of light in that last picture. There were no overhead lights or lights near the door to walk back in (safety hazard there), candles or even those battery operated ones from Dollarama! Unbelievable, eating in the dark and then paying that much for dinner! Secondly, the menu says you can switch out a side of fries for a salad for an extra cost. Fries were served with almost everything there [in general]. Upon ordering, the waitress never asked if I’d like a different side, as they normally do. If you say you don’t want a side of fries, offer another choice! Received: fries. Lovely. The service was not that great. We were asked how dinner was going when we couldn’t see our food, could barely see each other. Perhaps I’ll be back during lunchtime but a later dinner, no thank you. "
